The BE100 organization held a BBQ social event at Surfa’s Culinary District in Culver City on July 12th. The group included family and friends with a kick off cocktail party that included wines, champagne, soft drinks and hors e’ oeuvres.
Chef John Pitbaldo prepared a medley of delicious courses for the perfect BBQ to try at home, even if you are not a chef by training. The menu consisted of cabbage pepper slaw, veggie skewers, grilled asparagus, marinated grilled chicken, grilled peaches and homemade white chocolate ice cream. Our taste buds were humming as we all got to sample the Chef John’s creation.
Several members had the opportunity to assist the master chef and test their Sous Chef skills. We all took home recipes and a discount shopping spree coupon to Surfa’s gourmet culinary market and retail store.
